Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Fish Voice mobile app (“Fish Voice”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use it on iOS or Android, how we use it, and the third parties we share it with. Fish Voice is a text-to-speech and voice-cloning app that relies on a third-party AI service to generate audio.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Anonymous device account. On first launch, the app generates a random device identifier (UUID) and stores it in the operating system’s secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). We use this identifier to create an anonymous account so you can use the app without providing an email or name. We do not collect your Apple ID, Google account, or real name.
• Content you submit. Text scripts you type for speech generation, and audio recordings you record or upload in the app for voice cloning.
• Voice models. When you clone a voice, we store the resulting voice model reference and the name you gave it. We do not permanently store the raw audio sample after the clone is created.
• Subscription status. Purchase events, plan tier, and renewal dates received from RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment method or card number — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
• Usage data. Number of generations, characters used against your plan quota, and basic technical logs (request timestamps, error codes, IP address at time of request) needed to run the Service, prevent abuse, and debug problems.

2. How We Collect It

• Directly from you, when you type a script or record/upload audio in the app.
• Automatically from your device, when the app makes an API request (for example, IP address and app version).
• From RevenueCat and Apple / Google, when you complete or renew an in-app purchase.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the app.
• To send your text or audio to our third-party AI processor (Fish Audio) so it can generate the speech or voice clone you requested. See Section 4.
• To enforce free-tier limits and paid-plan character quotas.
• To validate and grant access to your subscription.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, security incidents, or abuse of our terms.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not use your voice recordings, cloned voices, or generated audio to train our own AI models, and we do not sell your personal data.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers. Each is contractually required to protect your data at a level equal to or greater than this Privacy Policy, and each is permitted to use the data only to perform the service we’ve engaged them for.

Fish Audio — Third-party AI voice processor

When you generate speech, we send the text of your script and the ID of the voice you selected. When you clone a voice, we send the audio sample you recorded or uploaded plus the reference transcript. Fish Audio processes this data only to fulfill your request and does not use it to train models for other users. Audio and text are retained by Fish Audio only for as long as needed to complete the request.

RevenueCat — In-app subscription infrastructure

Receives your anonymous app user ID and subscription events (purchases, renewals, cancellations) so we can grant Pro access on your device.

Apple — App Store purchases (iOS)

If you subscribe on iOS, Apple processes the payment under Apple’s privacy policy. We receive a purchase receipt but not your Apple ID or payment details.

Google — Play Store purchases (Android)

If you subscribe on Android, Google processes the payment under Google’s privacy policy. We receive a purchase receipt but not your Google account or payment details.

Hosting and infrastructure — Servers, database, and file storage

Our servers and database are operated on cloud infrastructure that hosts your anonymous account, voice models, and generation history. These providers process data only as our subprocessor.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fish Voice, our users, or the public.

5. Your Consent to AI Processing

Before your text or audio is sent to Fish Audio for the first time, the app shows you an in-app disclosure and asks you to agree. You can revoke that consent at any time in Settings › Support › Share recordings with Fish Audio AI. If consent is revoked, you can still browse the app but the speech-generation and voice-cloning features will be disabled until you re-enable it.

6. Data Retention

• Anonymous device account is retained for as long as the app is installed and the account is active.
• Generated audio and voice models are retained until you delete them from the Library or delete your account.
• Raw audio samples submitted for cloning are not permanently stored by us once the clone is created.
• Request logs are retained for up to 90 days for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymised.
• Subscription records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), authentication tokens signed with a private secret, and restricted access to production systems. Your device authentication token is stored in the operating system’s secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export a copy of your data.
• Withdraw consent for AI processing (see Section 5).
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your data.

You can delete generated audio and voice models directly from the Library. To exercise any of the other rights above, email us at gulfaamkhan498@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children’s Privacy

Fish Voice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, including by our third-party service providers listed in Section 4. When we transfer personal data outside your region, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms to protect it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (for example, an in-app notification).
