Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how [YOUR COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the Reroom mobile application ("Reroom", the "App"), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the App.

The short version: We use the photos you upload only to generate AI renders and to display them back to you. We don't sell your data. Photos are processed by our AI provider (OpenRouter) and deleted from our servers after your project is deleted or after a retention period. Payments are handled by Apple or Google — we never see your card details.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

• Room photos. Images you upload to be redesigned.
• Rendered images. AI-generated variants of your photos.
• Account information (only if you register with email): email address, hashed password, and optional display name.
• Support communications you send us by email.

1.2 Information we generate automatically

• Device identifier. A random ID generated by the App and stored on your device to link your renders and subscription to this install. This is not tied to your real identity.
• Device secret. A random opaque value generated by our server, stored in your device's secure keystore, used to authenticate this device.
• Usage data. Basic logs (request timestamps, endpoints, error codes) needed to run and debug the service.

1.3 Subscription and payment information

Subscriptions to Reroom Pro are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. They provide us with a subscription status (active/expired) and a transaction identifier. We do not receive your credit card number, billing address, or full payment details.

2. How we use information

• To provide the core service — accept your uploaded photo, send it to our AI provider, and return a rendered image.
• To maintain your project history so you can view past renders.
• To operate your subscription (verify entitlement, track free-render quotas).
• To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• To respond to support requests.
• To improve the App (aggregate, non-identifying analysis of usage patterns).

3. Who we share information with

• OpenRouter, Inc. — our AI inference provider. Your uploaded photo and prompt are sent to OpenRouter (and the underlying model provider, e.g. Google Gemini) purely to generate the rendered image. See OpenRouter's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — for subscription billing.
• Cloud hosting providers that store our database and image uploads.
• Law enforcement or regulators where legally required.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

4. Storage and retention

Uploaded photos and rendered images are stored on our servers for as long as your project exists in your library. You can delete a project at any time from the Projects screen; deletion removes both the source and rendered images from our servers within [e.g. 30 days]. Backend logs are retained for up to [e.g. 90 days] for security and debugging.

If you delete the App without deleting your projects first, guest-account data remains associated with your device identifier and will be purged after [e.g. 12 months] of inactivity.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS (in production), encrypted-at-rest storage for authentication credentials on your device (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences), and password hashing with bcrypt for registered accounts. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password if you register.

6. Your rights

Depending on your region (EU/UK/California/etc.), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

7. Children's privacy

Reroom is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

8. International transfers

Our servers and third-party processors may be located outside your country. By using Reroom, you consent to your data being processed in [YOUR HOSTING REGION, e.g. the United States]. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for international transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App and via the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Reroom after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
